TICKER TAPE dateline 4/01/08

Ticker Tape........The media source that goes beyond the trivia....spin and common rhetoric.........
Who is qualified and who is not?......The Candidates......Or the voting public?............ Certainly the candidates are all big question marks....Neither Obama or Hilary are electable, from a stand point of trust, experience and or the ability to understand the true underlying needs of this country and future generations. McCain for sure will continue to keep America at war in Iraq and later in Iran. Maybe both parties should consider running Newt Gingrich and Al Gore....instead of what we have now.....
Has the voting public and the candidates forgotten issues that are really important to the future of America?
I hear "energy conservation"....."hybrid cars"...."self sufficiency on energy"...... but I don't hear. ..."mass transportation" mentioned anywhere. A national mass transport system that would reduce fuel consumption by better than half. I don't hear about the real reasons why we are doing business with China?.....the issues of "Rare Earth" and minerals and the production thereof, which we are no longer mining, but desperately need if we are to have any defense system at all......"Minerals" the crumbling bedrock of U.S. Security. These are some of the things America no longer produces and which are of vital importance to keep us safe and a leading industrial nation. It may come as a shock but, China now completely dominates "Rare Earth Minerals."
I would think that American voters with instant access to the internet have the ability to learn what they didn't learn in school. But what the real underlying issues are......are all those things that an intelligent statesman should know and be worried about....... we don't have such a candidate. I haven't heard about the increasing ownership by European and foreign conglomerates of American Industries and Companies. I haven't heard about the effect EU enacted laws which in turn affect the American economy........and.....the import and export of goods. I haven't heard about who America is?......Why now "Dubai" will have the tallest building in the world We can't even make that claim anymore...........Without knowing what we really need, what the hell are we really voting for?....and whom?....and why?....The answer is, we are voting for personalities, created by the media, and us....By the left and the right.... but, sure as hell we are not voting for what we really need.....a Statesman.....a wise Statesman.....who knows what the real needs of this country are and how to achieve this monumental, almost impossible task. What we are given now just won't do it....sorry....
To get what we all need may just be an impossible dream....while we get more of what we have......... to sink into the abyss of despair, debts, sin and misery.......
