It's Halloween again. And I just realized that the only one that doesn't have to dress up or wear a mask for Halloween is Nancy Pelosi.........The most natural wicked witch of the north............. Watch out when she cracks a smile. That's the time when she has something good in store for us....... like the 1995 pages of the health care reform bill..........
Could it be ?........... just a Halloween joke ?
........ If it's for real,..... I think I will have to run for Governor again..... Not because I want to be a Politician but because we don't need politicians to represent the will of the people,......
Did I say "Will of the People"? ....... I should bite my tongue,...... Who cares about the "Will of the people"?
The right wing media keeps talking about how dangerously close we are to Socialized medicine and Socialism as a whole,.................. Even they, simply don't know what they are talking about,.... If indeed thirty percent of Americas wealth is now under Government control,.....that's socialism? C'mon folks,.....That is, in plain english, "Communism." Who is kidding who? ...................Somebody should tell O'Reiley and Glen Beck........Even you guys got it wrong or are trying to be kind to us,...... get it right. There is a big difference between " Socialism" and "Communism," you can still operate your own business and be an entrepreneur under socialism..... It costs you more, restricts your freedoms and brings with it social medicine. On the other hand communism is total people control,.... that's what we are sliding toward right now,...Ask those who escaped the deadly grip of communism and Stalin. I was one of those,....that escaped when still young,.......... and this column is not designed for epic horror stories.........
Talking about Horror Stories,..... I attended the Madison Wisconsin Horror Film Festival last month......... and saw the good and bad of what film students and film entrepreneurs are spending their time on ..... And,.... I was not surprised.
I already knew the market was flooded with blood, guts and gore (and sex) .......... the festival was just another venue for more of that. ......... it's a sad state of affairs when all that can be offered are the elements of bad taste and worse yet total absence of story/character driven film making materials,.... What are they thinking? ....................... Oops,.. just put my finger on it,... the kids are not thinking........That may be......because colleges and university film schools are the absolute worst educational venue for film makers to be,......And dear readers, that in my opinion is a crime...
I love working with young people and yes,.... yes ,... yes ,.... there are some real talented young film makers out there that deserve the right education and tutoring so they may succeed and make great mainline feature films,.......... How to accomplish that?...... I am not sure.
I don't belong to the "Artsie Fartsie" university milieu or is it inner circle? To......make a dent and or help those who need it,...... Possibly more in depth columns should be devoted to this subject matter,....
